Employment in the State to Increase through Mining and Mineral Processing

Udaipur: "The lump-sum premium due for the extension of mining lease periods should be taken in installments. The allocation of mining leases should be done with all necessary permissions granted. The duration of mining leases should be extended to 90 years." These suggestions were made by mining entrepreneurs at the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) meeting. The meeting was held at the Pyrotech Tempsons Auditorium of the UCCI building, organized by the Mining, Mineral Processing, and Dimensional Stone Sub-Committee. Prominent attendees included Mr. Madhusudan Paliwal, Mr. Akhilesh Joshi, Mr. Ramesh Singhvi, Mr. Kejar Ali, Mr. O.P. Saini, Dr. Hitanshu Kaushal, Mr. Vijay Godha, Mr. Hemant Jain, Mr. Ravi Sharma, Mr. Shaleen Harlalka, Mr. R.K. Chandalya, and Mr. O.P. Joshi, among others. Welcoming everyone, UCCI President Mr. M.L. Lunawat stated that significant employment generation and government revenue can be achieved through mineral extraction. Mr. R.R. Harlalka, Co-Chairman of the Mining, Mineral Processing, and Dimensional Stone Sub-Committee, discussed the challenges faced in mining and proposed solutions. Mr. Hemant Jain suggested that the mineral processing industry, which adds value to mining products, should be encouraged. Mr. Arvind Agarwal raised the issue of TP applicable to the mineral processing industry. CA Mr. Prateek Hingad elaborated on the problems faced in obtaining input credit for the mining industry.About 35 entrepreneurs from the Udaipur division, involved in mining and mineral processing, participated in the meeting. The meeting was conducted by Honorary Secretary Dr. Pawan Talesara. At the end of the meeting, Vice President CA Prateek Hingad expressed gratitude to all attendees.
